The original More Brewing in Villa Park was stop #24 on the Brews and Choos Project, back in March 2020. It was, in fact, my penultimate review before Covid-19 shut everything down for 3½ months, making the disappointing brewery that much more disappointing.
I have to say, the Bartlett location, which opened on 30 June 2023, was not disappointing. I wound up trying 4 beers (one of them a full pint, because why not get a Happy Hour beer on a Friday afternoon?) and an order of gigantic Buffalo wings.

I first tried the Lil' Moreover New England Pale Ale (5.5%), which had nice Citra, banana, and apricot notes and was "better than I remember from Krap Alliv." (My Brews & Choos Buddy couldn't make it on this trip but her spirit and its feelings about her home town came along anyway.) Next up: the Pioneer American Pale Ale (5.4%), hop forward and slightly dank; the Chai Tide Milk Stout (12%), rich, creamy, very sweet, chocolate and whipped cream, lots of flavor, and should only be drunk in 5 oz. glasses; and a full pint of the Rude Resin American IPA (7.5%), a very hoppy, very dank, very West-Coast beer that hit hard and my B&CB would have hated.

The brewery also has a huge outdoor space on the roof, so I imagine it would be a better trip in the summer than on December 26th. Still, I'd go back, with Cassie, if we found ourselves that close to Elgin and needed to stop for beer.
