As Dr Harper pointed out, the June solstice was this morning at 0824 UTC, not yesterday. The Daily Parker regrests the error.

The rest of yesterday's post was correct, however. Cassie and I spent about 12 hours outside, including this 8 km walk that ended in beer. Then we had to walk home, which is a bit farther than when we lived in that neighborhood. Altogether, Cassie got 2 hours and 23 minutes of walkies and covered about 14 km. Not a bad summer1 afternoon for her!

  1. Regardless of what day the solstice was on, meteorological summer began June 1st.
