Once again, Cassie and I got up obscenely early (5:30 am), but that allowed us to take a very long walk around the lake side of Belmont Harbor without needing sunscreen. It was 27°C with a 30°C heat index, however, but it was still pretty:

At the southern end of the peninsulette bordering the north side of the harbor (too precise?), there's an amazing view of the skyline and Navy Pier:

Cassie didn't care about either of those things, but she did enjoy the 55-minute walk and all the new smells:

I'm now applying updates to my travel laptop and drying my second load of laundry. Pre-travel days are always exciting. I'll hold off putting Cassie's food into bags until the last minute, though.
